What does a second chance look like when the barriers to moving forward are finally removed?
For someone returning home after incarceration, a mountain of legal debt, barriers to employment, or the loss of voting rights can stand in the way of rebuilding their life.
Our featured grantee at Seattle's upcoming Cheers & Justice, Civil Survival, is changing that. Led by people directly impacted by the criminal legal system, Civil Survival combines legal aid, community organizing, and advocacy to remove barriers and restore opportunity.
Join us on October 15 at the Seattle Spheres to hear from Devon Adams and Corey Guilmette, Civil Survival's Co-Executive Directors. Meet the people behind this work, learn how civil legal aid changes lives, and connect with others committed to building access to equal justice for everyone in Washington.
Cheers & Justice is free, and food and drinks are provided. Come raise a glass to the people making justice possible!
